Bombay Velvet

Period crime drama remarkable for its visual appeal, superb background score, meaningful songs and fantastic lead performances.

What missing is storyline 😦  I wish it would have been tighter, better edited, more paced with effective dialogues – it would have been blockbuster.

Connection with characters is missing. You don’t feel for characters and I think it is one of the prime requirements for any movie to be successful 🙂

Four writers together could not give well paced plot and thrilling narration is the most unfortunate part of the film.

Cheers for great music and effective lyrics.

Personally I liked the nostalgia it creates, retro look of Ranbir-Anushka and of course, bombay before my birth 🙂

Good one time watch on weekdays

Movie Wisdom:

  1. Needy and ambitious person can be exploited easily.

  2. Favour from shrewd, manipulative and powerful people comes with a price, hidden or open.

  3. It is beyond common man’s imagination and thinking that how influential people play with power and to what extent.

  4. And of course, मोहब्बत बुरी बिमारी लगी तुझे तो तेरी ज़िम्मेदारी 🙂

Disclaimer : 🙂

I’m not a paid or commercial movie critic, neither this is technical review of the movie. This share is to help like-minded friends for spending their money and time effectively 🙂

First part was very slow & dark.Movie picks up from second part where some grip is there & background score is very effective,it sounds like from thriller from hollywood movies by Martin Scorsses….Perfromance wise also good.Picture couldn’t picked up mainly because of weak storyline & Indains generally don’t accept period films.
