QUEEN

Queen-hindi-movie-poster-kangna

When loved one prefers to dump you for what s/he perceives about you, you have two choices. One, accept his/her perception, go in self-pity or complaining mode and brood worthlessness within. Second, preferable one and require internal strength, you go exploring the self, know your real worth and move on defying his/her perception. After a long interval Bollywood has given meaningful movie made with heart and feelings. If you can go beyond screen and scenes, this movie has to offer lot many seeds for contemplation.

Well written storyline could have been more tighten by smart editing and more effective by better background score. Title song and Hungama remix are foot tapping and appropriately placed. Dialogues are very effective at places, naturally written by women, Anvita Dutt and Kangna Ranaut.

Kangna is superb with her emotional roller-coaster, definitely one of her best. Lisa Heydon is impressive. A perfect release on woman’s day.

Sidhi baat, no bakvaas:

Treat for those who like to think and entertaining for others. Go and watch, at least you will not regret for time and money spent.

Movie Wisdom:

  1. Never yearn for an acceptance in relationship, instead walk away gracefully.
  2. It is alright if someone doesn’t realize your worth but it is unfortunate if you don’t!
  3. Transformation does not mean that you change outwardly or adopt other’s culture, its journey within and renewing your inner-self.
  4. Life may not reward your simplicity, you need to decide whether to complain or move on with what you have.

Shadi Ke Side effects

Shaadi_ke_side_effects

If you consider any change in your life after marriage as a side-effect then I’m sure, shadi has many side-effects. SKSE is dealing with one of them, change after parenthood. It’s about unacceptable yet inevitable change that parenthood can bring in couple’s life. Woman’s priority changes and man is not able to digest the fact. Man continues to remain irresponsible, preoccupied with his pleasures and woman is unable to believe and accept it!! Single issue told in lengthy way with many unnecessary scenes. Story line is almost one-sided keeping men’s issues in focus. Some preachy dialogues seem weak and ineffective. Except few gags and witty dialogues, movie has nothing more to offer.

All aspects of the movie are average. Farhan and Vidhya are good but below their potentials. Supporting characters are written and performed weakly.

Sidhi baat, no bakvaas:

Unmarried and recently married will not be able to relate the content and may feel bored because of length. Those, who have crossed 10 years of marriage, are likely to enjoy the most as they have ample scope to relate.

Movie Wisdom:

  1. Motherhood always takes over any other aspects of womanhood.
  2. Parental responsibilities change woman’s life much more than man’s. However, woman never
complains about it as motherhood is a part of her being.
  3. Woman understands her child better because child is a part of her body and soul.
  4. It’s better to express your worries to your wife than other man as woman can understand you better 🙂
  5. ‘Family man’ may have darker side underneath white lies 😦
