Review of Lunch Box

Review of Lunch Box

‘You cannot drink wine like water’, if you say why not; then I’ll correct myself ‘you cannot enjoy wine if you drink like water’. Water you can just gulp it down but wine, ‘Swirl the glass and sniff the aromas. Take a moderate size sip and let it cover the tongue. Do not swallow it just yet. Roll it around on your tongue like you‘re chewing it. Let all those nice taste receptors get a sample of the sip’!  Exactly same philosophy I will apply to relationship. To enjoy every aspects of relationship one needs to go slowly, enjoying every swing of emotions. Unfortunately, in today’s hurried life we enjoy ‘shots’ instead of ‘wines’! In era of instant messaging (shots) youth will fail to relate themselves to ‘chithhi romance’ (wine) shown in ‘Lunch Box’ 🙂

Technically perfect movie goes very slow in storyline, at times dull but subtle on emotional tone. Detailing in the movie is marvelous. Housewife’s boredom and thankless routine, stressful daily life of Mumbai’s middle class, adjustments in hassled claustrophobic transportation, subtle loneliness amidst the crowd etc are captured very effectively.  All lead performances are noteworthy.  I believe, storyline had a scope of more pace, thrill and entertainment. End would have been more interesting, I guess 😛

Sidhi baat, No bakwaas:

I liked the movie, worth watching but definitely not Oscar stuff 🙂

You may not like this movie, if

  1. You are below 30.
  2. If you do not like slow movies.
  3. If you are watching movies for entertainment, entertainment and entertainment :))

Movie Wisdom:

  1. House wife requires appreciation and sharing, the most.
  2. Loving relationship makes you feel young, vibrant and alive.
  3. Learn to defy the boring routine and loneliness, if you want to make your life more interesting.

Review of Shuddh Desi Romance

Shuddh Desi Romance

SDR is entertaining romantic comedy. In fact, story revolves around current psyche with an age old expression of romance!! More and more youth, at least in their ideology, raising their doubts in social system of living together called ‘Marriage’ is current psyche. ‘Sex’ is ultimate romance, an age old concept of romantic expression!! Couples in SDR are running away from social system and prefers ‘live-in’ for living together, their every conflicts seem to be dissolved with ‘kiss’ and ‘sex’ 🙂 🙂 🙂

Two things sensible audience may find rough. One, Soft passionate expressions like gentle touching, caressing, hugging etc. are more or less missing in romantic movie. Two, willingness of both female characters to get into physical intimacy, as if they are on 24×7!!

Dialogues witty and hilarious at times, some one-liners are realistic. Rishi Kapoor is the best of all performers. Parineeti is impressive, Sushant and Vani is ok like…

Sidhi baat, no bakvaas:

Good way to relax 🙂

Movie Wisdom:

You should not learn these things from the movie

  1. You can kiss the girl sitting next to you, whom you have known for just couple of hours 😛
  2. Smoking is attractive, erotic or relaxing and its cool to smoke together
  3. Cold drinks give you a feeling that ‘at least I have something in life’ 🙂
  4. Most of women are eager to kiss you or sleep with you, whether they are with you in crowded bus or terrace of public places 😛 😛
